We’re supporting Starts at Home Day this week
Friday 2 September is Starts at Home Day and throughout this week we’re raising awareness of what we do at GreenSquareAccord to ensure that people who need extra support will always have a safe home that meets their needs.
Starts at Home Day is a day when housing associations up and down the country celebrate supported housing and the positive impact it makes on thousands of lives.
This day of action is central to the National Housing Federation's (NHF) Starts at Home campaign, which has a simple but important aim – to ensure that people who need extra support will always have a safe home that meets their needs.
At GreenSquareAccord we offer care and support services, including residential care and support, supported living, extra care schemes, community support and care in your own home.
From older adults and children to people who have experienced challenging life experiences such as homelessness, mental health, the criminal justice system or domestic abuse - we have 60 years’ experience providing care and support to some of the most vulnerable people in society and we’re proud to continue this work.
The services we offer are delivered in a variety of settings – our own homes, community locations such as hospitals and community centres, and accommodation belonging to the individual service users.
Maxine Espley MBE, our Executive Director of Care and Support said: “We are proud of the care and support services we provide for our customers. We make sure that the support we deliver not only meets our customers’ needs but empowers them to have full choice and control, while we work together to achieve positive outcomes.
“It’s so important that as an organisation we support Starts at Home Day, to celebrate supported housing and to raise awareness that good quality supported housing is needed now more than ever.”
