Our Community Impact Fund supports TIC+ (Teens in Crisis)

TIC Teens In Crisis Intranet New (1)

We are thrilled to announce we’re supporting TIC+ (Teens in Crisis) through our Community Impact Fund.

Our Community Impact Fund is an initiative designed to support customer groups, local charities, voluntary and community groups and organisations operating within our service areas. Through the fund we offer grants of up to £1,000 to projects that benefit our customers and the communities we work in.

We awarded TIC+ a grant of £1,000 through our Community Impact Fund to support their expansion of the counselling service they provide, enabling them to see an additional 153 young people each year for ongoing counselling.

The TIC+ mission is to improve, preserve and promote good mental health and wellbeing among children, young people and families. TIC+ is dedicated to helping and supporting young people facing mental health challenges across Gloucestershire. They ensure that access to counselling remains free and available without any unnecessary barriers, so that every person has someone to talk to when they need it.

Nia Price, Fundraiser at TIC+, said: “This support from GSA’s Community Impact Fund is going to help get children and young people seen sooner. For many, waiting to be supported can be incredibly worrying and exacerbates the underlying issues troubling them. We are very grateful for this funding as it enables us to bring change and hope to young people who are struggling in Gloucestershire.”

Sian Every, our Community and Investment and Social Value Lead, added: “We are proud to support the TIC+ through our Community Impact Fund. Their work makes a tangible difference for young people, helping to improve their mental health and access essential support. By investing in organisations like TIC+, we’re making a real impact on the wellbeing of our communities.”
