We’ve secured new affordable homes in Deddington
We've secured seven new affordable homes in Deddington, Oxfordshire.
The new homes are part of the larger Hempton Gate development, built by Burrington Estates, and are comprised of two and three-bedroom houses alongside maisonettes.
Peter Crouch, our Head of Development said: “We are delighted to have brought seven new rural homes into our portfolio.
“The new homes at Hempton Gate are beautifully presented, completed to a high standard and located in a peaceful setting less than a mile from the centre of the attractive village of Deddington. We look forward to handing over the keys to the new residents soon and wish them every happiness in their new homes.”
All of our new homes are complete with a designated parking space, are located close to an equipped playground and some of the properties have access to a private garden.
Incoming residents to our new homes in Hempton Gate, will be located less than a 15-minute walk from the centre of the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Deddington.
Deddington boasts several pubs, a coffee shop, a regular farmers market, a post office inside a convenience store, clusters of listed buildings, a 13th century church and has the remains of a Norman Motte and Bailey castle nearby.
Councillor Nicholas Mawer, Portfolio Holder for Housing at Cherwell District Council, said: “We are delighted to see new affordable housing being delivered in Deddington as part of the Hempton Gate development, which will provide much needed housing for those living in the Deddington area. The council has significant pressure on its housing register, so additional units of affordable housing for our residents are welcome to help those in need.”
The Hempton Gate development is situated less than 7 miles from Banbury which has all the amenities of a large town and is home to a major rail station with regular services to Oxford, Birmingham and London. The development is also located less than a 20-minute drive from the world-famous shopping destination Bicester Village.
Councillor Bryn Williams, who represents the Deddington Ward on Cherwell District Council said “I look forward to welcoming the incoming residents to Deddington. Our village is a truly lovely place to live with a strong sense of community and surrounded by beautiful countryside, so I'm sure our new residents will be very happy here.”
