Family Support Advisor

Birmingham

Salary - £22,800 - £24,000 per annum depending on experience

Contract type - Fixed Term - March 2025

About the role

You will be a support for children, families and young people to prevent problems from escalating. We work with diverse community partners and families in an inclusive and multi-agency way. Our multi-lingual support may include education, youth services, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, housing, parenting, domestic abuse, money advice and health.

You will provide flexible, practical, project support related to the Hall Green Families Team contract to deliver early help related support to families and young people, focusing on the service aims, families` preferences and self and professionally assessed risks and needs.

About you

You will establish effective communication and positive relationships with multi-agency partners including Voluntary Sectors, community organisations, schools, health, Birmingham Children`s Trust, the police, families and young people.

You will support families to promote home safety. This is where multi agency working is required to help families understand home safety. Some of the key partners will include early years, fire safety and police.

You will provide a lower-intensity, practical support to prevent crisis in partnership with other agencies based on a needs assessment
