Request a summary of service charge costs (Section 21)

A Section 21 request allows eligible customers to ask for a written summary of service charge expenditure for a relevant accounting period. This provides an overview of the costs that have been incurred and charged through the service charge.

Request access to supporting documents (Section 22)

If you have already received a summary of costs under Section 21, you may be entitled to inspect supporting documents relating to those charges. This can include information such as invoices, receipts, contracts and other relevant records used to support the service charge costs.

Who can make a request?

The right to request this information is set out in the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and applies to certain customers who pay variable service charges. We will review each request to confirm eligibility and ensure it falls within the scope of the legislation before processing it.
