Our Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) has today launched its new website.

GDASS is a county-wide service which is designed to reduce the level of domestic abuse and improve the safety of victims and their families. The service is commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council and delivered by GreenSquareAccord (GSA) with support from the county’s Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and NHS Gloucestershire for some specialist roles.

The new website provides:

  • Information about domestic abuse and the various forms it can take
  • Guidance on how to stay safe if you are experiencing abuse or have left an abusive relationship
  • Advice about civil and court orders
  • Signposting to support such as the help desk at GDASS, floating support or safe accommodation
  • Resources for domestic abuse support practitioners.

Tessa Davies, GDASS Services Manager, said: “We are delighted with the new GDASS website. As well as looking sharper and aligning to the GSA brand, the new website layout is easier to navigate which is vitally important for all those seeking support. Thanks to all colleagues who have brought this project to a successful conclusion.”

GDASS was first awarded a contract to deliver domestic abuse support services in Gloucestershire in 2012 with successful re-award following in 2017; this five-year contract being extended in 2023 for another two years.

GDASS was awarded Leading Light status by SafeLives, a national charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, in 2017 and has maintained its accreditation ever since.

The Leading Lights accreditation programme offers services, partner agencies and commissioners a set of standards for supporting victims of domestic abuse.
