We engaged with elected members serving on Dudley Council last week.

Colleagues set up a stall at the Council House in Dudley to meet councillors ahead of their Full Council meeting on Thursday 29 January 2026. Across Dudley borough, we own and manage more than 1,200 properties.

Representing GSA at the event were David Loon, Head of Localities; Margaret Wilkinson, Head of Planning for Real; and Lyndsey Hunt, Head of Communications and Marketing.

David Loon, Head of Localities, said:

“Building strong relationships with our partners in local government is a priority for us, and speaking face-to-face is a powerful way to connect.

The event was a great opportunity to discuss GSA’s work in Dudley, listen to concerns and answer questions. Having received positive feedback following last week’s event in Dudley, as well as a similar session held for Walsall councillors, we will seek to engage with more elected representatives across all our localities.”

The drop-in session forms part of our work to strengthen relationships with local authority partners. It gave councillors the opportunity to find out more about our organisation, ask questions, raise concerns, and meet colleagues who work with our customers living in their area.

Lyndsey Hunt, Head of Communications and Marketing, said:

“We received a warm welcome from Dudley Council, and it was brilliant to hear that many of the elected members already knew a little about GSA. David, Margaret and I spoke to councillors at all levels of seniority, from backbenchers right up to the Council Leader.”

Representatives from all political groups on Dudley Council took the opportunity to engage with GSA colleagues.

Cllr Ethan Stafford, who represents Cradley and Wollescote North, said:

“It was great to see a housing provider be so proactive in reaching out to Dudley councillors and offering a direct contact to raise any casework issues. GSA’s Community Impact Fund will also be of interest to some of the voluntary groups I work with in my ward.”
