Colleagues at the Hall Green Neighbour Network Scheme (NNS) organised an event to support our customers and wider community with managing rising household bills.
The event, held at Bosnia House in Sparkhill on Thursday 16 July, was organised by colleagues at Hall Green NNS and supported by Birmingham City Council, alongside more than a dozen local partners and community organisations.
Attendees were able to access a range of free advice and support, including:
- Free energy advice to help reduce household costs
- Information about college and further education opportunities available within the local community
- Complimentary giveaways and resources from a variety of local organisations.
The event also provided an opportunity for housing, healthcare and local government professionals to network and speak directly with residents about the issues affecting them most.
Thieba Bibi, Project Manager at Hall Green NNS, said: "It was wonderful to welcome so many residents and have meaningful conversations with our community.
“Events like these are so valuable in connecting people with the advice, support and opportunities available to help with the rising cost of living.

The event received positive feedback from both GSA customers and members of the wider community.
One attendee said: "Thank you – due to this event I feel helped and supported in a variety of ways."
Another added: "This was such a helpful and beneficial event for people of all ages, especially older citizens."
By working closely with local partners, Hall Green NNS continues to support residents by connecting them with practical advice, services and opportunities that can make a real difference during challenging times.
