GSA up for two prestigious communication awards
GSA has been shortlisted for two prestigious communication awards.
The ICE Awards celebrate excellence in internal communication and engagement across Europe, and last year’s winners included British Airways, Lloyds Banking Group and Sky.
We have made the final in two categories: Best Communication of Change or Business Transformation and Best Internal Communications (Charity Sector).
Our place in the final recognises the work we did to create and communicate our Simpler, Stronger, Better business strategy.
This includes:
- The creation and development of the strategy
- Our flipbook
- Our animation
- Our online game
- Our intranet hub
- Our 2023 colleague conference
- Change Matters - our regular colleague update on how we’re progressing against the objectives we set out in our Simpler, Stronger, Better strategy.
Steve Hayes, our Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for two ICE Awards alongside some of the biggest organisations in Europe.
“Upping the game in terms of how we communicate and engage with colleagues has been a major focus over the last two years, in recognition of how critical this is for us to be able to make progress. We knew we needed to significantly improve how we communicate our vision and plans to colleagues, and our new business strategy represented a great opportunity to do this in a much more coherent and engaging way.
“Our place in the final recognises a huge amount of work to achieve this – from the creation of the strategy itself and the campaign to launch and embed it in the organisation, through to our colleague conference and our ongoing change communication through things like Change Matters and our regular Q&As.
“We were pleased to see the positive effects of this work in our recent engagement survey, with significant improvements in the scores. This, alongside the positive survey feedback from our colleague conference and other engagement metrics, highlighted the demonstrable impact of this work.
“Colleague engagement is at the heart of our ability to fulfil our purpose and move forward as an organisation, so it is great for GSA to be recognised for doing innovative work in this space.”
The final ceremony for the ICE Awards takes place on 11 June.
