We have officially started work on our Clent Way development in Bartley Green, Birmingham, where we will deliver 12 new social rent homes for the local community.

The first phase of construction has included clearing the site and demolishing several unused garages to prepare the area for the new homes.

Mary Doria, our Project Manager, said:

“We are delighted to be able to expand our housing offer at Clent Way.

“This scheme will help to meet a variety of local housing needs by providing bungalows alongside two- and three-bedroom homes.

“Our new homes on Clent Way will be ideally situated close to the M5, with regular bus services to Birmingham city centre. Customers will also benefit from easy access to local beauty spots including Bartley Reservoir and Woodgate Valley Country Park.”

We have appointed Harper Group as the construction partner for the development.

The Clent Way scheme will include:

  • Eight, two-bedroom houses
  • Three, three-bedroom houses
  • Two, one-bedroom bungalows

All homes will be available for social rent and we will be replacing the demolished garages as part of the development.

We currently own and manage 2,210 homes across the Birmingham City Council area, including the existing apartment blocks and houses at Clent Way.
