First customers move into our new affordable homes in Chippenham
We’ve delivered 17 new affordable homes situated on the southwestern edge of Chippenham.
Our new homes in Chippenham, located in the wider Hunters Moon development Hilltop View, built by Taylor Wimpey, comprise 11 properties reserved for affordable rent with the remaining six available under a low-cost home ownership scheme.
With one-bedroom maisonettes, two, three-and four-bedroom homes and a bungalow on offer at Hunter’s Moon, our homes within the scheme cater to a variety of local housing need.
The homes reserved for affordable rent comprise of two one- bed maisonettes, three two-bedroom houses, four three- bedroom houses, one four-bedroom house and one bungalow. There are four two-bedroom homes and two three-bedroom homes available through shared ownership.
Denise Woolford, our Development Officer who led on the scheme said: “We are proud not only to provide homes for affordable rent but also to provide an opportunity to get on the property ladder, through our shared ownership scheme, to those who might otherwise be excluded.
“It is fantastic to see the first customers moving into their new homes at Hunters Moon.
“All of our new homes at Hunters Moon are fitted with solar panels benefiting both the environment and the future occupants with reduced fuel bills.”
Our new homes in the Hunters Moon development are located a five-minute drive away from Chippenham railway station which provides regular services to Bath, Bristol, London and Weston-Super-Mare.
Alison, a GSA customer who recently moved into her home in the Hunters Moon development, said: “I really like my new place and its already starting to feel like home. It’s great to be living in a quiet neighbourhood with access to shops.”
Incoming residents to Hunters Moon will have a supermarket and the Bath Road Retail Park, which boasts a Costa, Marks and Spencer’s Foodhall and Next, less than a ten-minute walk away. Our new homes in Chippenham have Hill Top Park on their doorstep providing stunning views and a tranquil green space for all to enjoy.

Our first customers have collected the keys for their new homes in Hunters Moon with the final external works currently being completed on the estate.
