Property developer Morro Partnerships has donated a selection of high-quality items from a show home to residents at Chapter House, an emergency homeless centre in West Bromwich managed by GreenSquareAccord (GSA).

As part of their commitment to enhancing the communities they work in, Morro has donated a selection of items including dining tables, desks, tables, mirrors, blinds and light fittings - worth an estimated £5,000.

These items will enhance the living spaces at Chapter House, helping to create a more comfortable and welcoming environment for customers. Items will also be given to customers moving into their own homes.

Sian Every, Community Investment and Social Lead at GSA, said:

“We’re incredibly grateful to Morro for their generous donation, which will make a real difference to residents at Chapter House.

This donation not only supports our efforts to provide high-quality living spaces but also highlights the importance of collaboration with partners like Morro to improve our communities. It’s a fantastic example of how working together can lead to positive change.”

Shirlene Morris, Senior Support Worker at Chapter House, said:

“We are very grateful for the donations from Morro.

Many of the furniture items that have been donated will be given to residents who are due to be moving into their own accommodation, helping them to settle into their new homes. We are very grateful for their support.”

Abdul Mozzamdar, Social Value Lead at Morro Partnerships, said:

“At Morro Partnerships, we want to be known for being more than just a leading partnerships developer, we want to leave a legacy. We pride ourselves on enhancing the communities in which we work, live and play.

Since we started our projects in the Sandwell Borough, we have been working closely with Chapter House to provide gym equipment, furniture, tool kits, donations of plants and planters and volunteering time to enhance the garden area of the property.

We have seen first-hand the impact Chapter House has on its residents and the tireless efforts of the staff at the centre. It’s safe to say that Chapter House has a very special place in our hearts!”

The donation from Morro is a perfect example of community spirit in action. It follows on from a recent garden tidy-up at Chapter House, further demonstrating the collaboration between GSA, its partners, and local teams to improve the lives of residents.
