Manuela Perteghella, the MP for Stratford-on-Avon, recently visited our new housing scheme in Warwickshire to see how our customers were settling in.
Our development, known as Airfield House, is located within a larger development built on the site of a former RAF base near Long Marston and is providing 60 new affordable homes.
Reflecting on her visit Manuela Perteghella MP said "It was great to visit Airfield House and meet the families that now call it their home and to see good quality affordable housing being built in my constituency. We now need to have the community hub infrastructure built, and I look forward to working with stakeholders to ensure that residents in my constituency can have the best quality of life possible."
Built by Vistry, our Airfield House scheme is helping to meet a variety of local housing needs, providing 25 homes for affordable rent, a further 13 for social rent, and 22 properties available through shared ownership.
Alongside helping to deliver much-needed affordable housing, Vistry has committed £600,000 to investing in the local community. The funding will go towards improving local services, including education, healthcare and highways.
Daniella Parry, who moved into the Airfield House development earlier this year said: “Our new home is just perfect for my family with everything we need in easy reach and a friendly neighbourhood to live in. So far, so good”
Our Long Marston scheme is complemented by an equipped playground, giving families access to a slide, swings, a roundabout and a climbing wall literally on their doorstep.
Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon, is just a 15-minute drive from Airfield House, while the Cotswold countryside is also easily accessible.
