In May 2025, we achieved approval for our bold scheme to transform the land where a needle factory, known as Clive Works, once stood into a thriving community of affordable housing.
Once complete, we will convert the former industrial site, Clive Works, into 72 new, quality social homes comprised of one- and two-bedroom apartments.
By building using sustainable, low carbon materials the homes will achieve a reduced overall energy demand resulting in lower heating bills for the occupants.
The Clive Works development will comprise of 72 one- and two-bedroom apartments, which will be available for social rent.
Residents will benefit from convenient on‑site bike storage and excellent sustainable travel links, with both the bus and train stations just a short distance away. Clive Works marks the fourth and final phase of our £35 million regeneration programme. The earlier stages of this major project delivered 40 apartments at Passingham Place, 75 new homes at Victoria Works, and 12 modern flats on Edward Street as part of the CHARM building.
