Jewson donates hygiene products to support families in Birmingham and Walsall

We are delighted to be working with Jewson, our main materials supplier, to provide essential hygiene products to families and individuals in need in Birmingham and Walsall.
As part of their social value commitment, Jewson has generously donated a total of 40 packs of much-needed hygiene items through several of their branches, helping to support service users at the Sparkbrook Children’s Zone in Birmingham and survivors of domestic abuse in Walsall.
The donations of period products, body wash, shampoo and nappies will directly benefit families engaged with our Early Help Service, at Sparkbrook Children’s Zone, and individuals receiving support from our domestic violence services. These contributions will make a real difference to those facing difficult circumstances, ensuring they have access to basic hygiene products that many of us take for granted.
Simarjeet Kaur, who leads the Sparkbrook Children’s Zone, said: “Many of the families we support are facing significant challenges, including cost of living and increasing health inequalities making it harder to access basic hygiene products such as period products, body wash, shampoo and nappies.
“This generous donation from Jewson will help some of the mothers and babies in our community have the essentials they need helping to promote dignity, wellbeing, and a sense of support. We’re incredibly grateful for this contribution and for Jewson’s commitment to making a positive impact.”
Haps Bram, our Domestic Violence Service Manager said: “For survivors of domestic abuse, rebuilding life after leaving a difficult situation can be incredibly tough.
“This donation from Jewson will make a meaningful difference to the individuals and families we support in Walsall, and we truly appreciate their generosity."
Thank you Jewson for your generosity and to everyone involved in making this happen. By working together, we can continue to provide vital support to those who need it most.
