Our 2025/26 budget was approved this week. In it are a series of commitments which will see us significantly increase spend in key areas. We’ve broken this down to show what it means for our GSA customers:

Our Chief Executive Ruth Cooke said: “We are delighted our Board has approved a budget which will see us make significant increases in investment and enable us to drive forward the delivery of our strategy as we head into year three.

“We are particularly pleased to be able to achieve a 50% increase in our investment in our existing homes, from £61 million to £93 million. This will be spent on a combination of energy efficiency upgrades, fire safety work, replacing kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, and boilers, and regular external and shared area decorations to enhance the look and feel of our homes – all things we know matter hugely to our customers.

“And while we recognise spending on our existing homes is a priority for us, we are pleased to be able to make a commitment to build 300 homes for people in our communities in the next financial year.

“In many ways this feels like a landmark budget for GSA, and I’m particularly pleased we have been able to deliver it in what remains a challenging financial climate for housing providers. This reflects the work we have done to make our organisation simpler and stronger. As a result, we’re now able to deliver a budget which will enable us to start making things better for our customers.

“While it is great news our budget has been approved it is down to everyone at GSA to play their part in delivering the activity associated with it and ensure we remain on track so that we are able to make the investments we have promised for our customers.”
