We have been awarded a GREEN grade, the highest grading available, following an independent audit by Homes England.

Homes England is the UK Government’s housing and regeneration agency which provides funding and support for new affordable homes.

In 2018 and 2021 we led on joint bids with the Matrix Housing Partnership, a consortium of seven social landlords, to unlock funding from Homes England to provide new social and affordable homes across the Midlands and South West.

An independent auditor, acting on behalf of Homes England, visited three of our recently completed developments to ensure compliance with the funding conditions and other contractual requirements as stipulated by the government body.

The auditor assessed:

Following the inspection the Homes England auditor awarded us a GREEN grade, meaning we had met all requirements.

They said in their judgement summary that: “the outcome of the audit has shown that GreenSquareAccord has complied with all the programme requirements and guidance. A GREEN grade has been assigned, and no breaches were identified.”

Mike Nolan, our Head of Development said: “The findings of the audit are welcomed news and only enhances our reputation with Homes England. This result will support our commitment to continue to deliver quality new affordable homes as outlined in our 2023-28 business strategy: Simpler, Stronger, Better.

“Achieving a GREEN grade is a huge success for the Development team and colleagues in our in-house Construction team who successfully delivered Passingham Place.

“Well done to all involved.”
